We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as health data, financial account details, or identity documents) unless it is directly required to deliver a specific service and you have given explicit consent.

3 How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

We do not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing without your explicit consent, and we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

4 Storage & Security

Your information is stored securely using enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, or disclosure.

  • Data is stored on secure cloud platforms (AWS and/or Microsoft Azure) with encryption at rest and in transit
  • Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel only
  • We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law
  • Client project data is retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with NZ tax and business record requirements, then securely deleted

While we take all reasonable precautions, no internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. If you have concerns about a specific data breach, please contact us immediately at contact@avtrix.co.nz.

5 Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own commercial purposes. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — trusted third-party tools we use to operate our business (e.g. email hosting, project management platforms, cloud storage). These providers are contractually required to handle data in accordance with our standards and applicable NZ law.
  • Legal requirements — where we are required by law, court order, or government authority to disclose information.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a business sale or merger, personal information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to equivalent privacy protections.

Any third-party tools we use that may process personal information include standard business platforms such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and cloud hosting providers. We conduct due diligence on all third-party processors to ensure adequate privacy safeguards are in place.
